Case Boring

Case boring, also known as auger boring, is a safe and reliable drilling method which the team at Shoota Drilling & Civil specialise in. The typical process sees a steel sleeve being horizontally jacked into the earth, which protects the asset being drilled under at all times. At Shoota Drilling & Civil we have a wide range of top-quality auger boring equipment and machinery which allows us to drill from 300mm to 1800mm diameter. Case boring projects are our bread and butter, so we can ensure quick, efficient work.

Guided Boring Machine (GBM)

At Shoota Drilling & Civil, we use an Akkerman guided boring machine for our GBM projects. The Akkerman guided boring machine is used for pinpoint accuracy of pilot tube installation to control on line and on grade with the process of horizontal auger boring. The benefits of the GBM include line and grade accuracy prior to the advancement or installation of the steel casing or concrete jacking pipe. Akkerman products are known for their precision, and our Akkerman GBM allows us to be millimetre accurate, every time.

Concrete pipe jacking is a method used for a protection sleeve other than steel. The concrete jacking pipe is jacked from a send pit to a receive pit. Concrete jacking pipe is often used for storm water or a protection sleeve for the insertion of a product pipe. The team at Shoota Drilling & Civil are experts when it comes to concrete pipe jacking and can ensure great results on your next project.
